Sorry to crash but wanted to post here
I am curious to see if anyone here on this board got pregnant with only 1 fallopian tube? I was pregnant over the summer and had an ectopic pregnancy....and without going into detail I had to have my right tube removed. I guess I just want to see what the chances are of getting pregnant again are

I know two people who have one (one due to ectopic like you) and they both got pregnant multiple times, resulting in healthy children!

I'm 26 weeks pregnant and have only one tube. We did ivf to get here since it bypasses the tubes. Good luck!

Me! I am 13 weeks and have only 1 fallopian tube!
Heres my story:
I had a MC in August. When I went in for my first sono at around 7 weeks (mid-july) the baby was only measuring 5 weeks and there was no HB. But they also found a large cyst in my ovary- it was 10 cm diameter and they said it might go away on its own after I miscarried and started a normal cycle again. But when I went back it grew to 12 cm and so I needed to have surgery. During the surgery, they discovered the cyst had moved into the fallopian tube, totally stretching it out and tearing part of it. My doc said if she left it, my chances of having an ectopic would be really high (because she knew we were going to start trying again) So she removed it.
BUT she told me this would not decrease my chances of getting pregnant because 1 fallopian tube will move back and forth between the 2 ovaries. I thought that was pretty remarkable. So I started researching it online. One of the things I read said that 1/3 of the time even when you have 2 fallopian tubes, the egg will get picked up from the tube opposite the ovary it's in. So if there is only one tube, it will just go back and forth between the 2 ovaries. I always thought they were attached. The human body is pretty amazing like that. My surgery was in December, and I got pregnant in February! So it only took 2 cycles for me. It will happen for you! Good luck!!
