Uterus measuring larger then weeks pregnant

With DS I was told by my OB that I was measuring about two weeks ahead around week 32. I remember starting to worry that I would either have the baby early or that I would have a super large baby. In the end DS was just shy of 8lbs and right on time.

FF to today...I'm 27 weeks and measuring three weeks ahead of schedule so my OB, different than the one I used last time, wants me to have a sono to check the baby's weight. She asked me if a fibroid had been mentioned in my past ultrasounds...um no. I wasn't planning to have another sono until week 36 so I'm a little surprised by this news and also a little concerned.

Anyone else measuring ahead and if so did your OB have you get a sono? My sono isn't my next apt in 4 weeks so she can't be that concerned....right?

My doctor told me today that my uterus was a little bigger then normal but she wasn't concerned. My LO has been measuring about 5 days ahead as well. Like I said, they didn't give me any reason to think they were concerned.
