Had my Baby Girl!!
Hi everyone,
My baby girl, Hailey Joan was born on 4/13 - 4 days before my due date and my birthday. She is by far the BEST birthday present ever. Hailey weighed 9lb 1oz and was 20 inches tall. My water broke at 230 in the AM, true to what everyone had said, that it wouldn't break while on the LIRR and would likely happen in the middle of the night. My contractions started pretty immediately.
At first they thought I may need a C section based on where her head was positioned, but in the end I was able to push to deliver her.
Not going to lie, my labor was intense, even with the epidural. I threw up once from the pain while waiting for the epidural and they had to top it off a few times. When I called to have it topped off again, I learned I was fully dialted and couldn't get a top off. I pushed for 10 min and there she was. I have such respect for women who deliver naturally. There is NO WAY I could ever have done that. Thank G-d for epidurals!!!
I am so in love with my little girl. I finally feel complete.
Thank you all for all your advice over these last 9 + months!!
