Re: Summer moms
IMO, thats a little too summery. I had DD June 25th and still put her in a long sleeve pants outfit. The hospital, car, and house are all air conditioned and they are just still so new. This is the outfit I picked if I have a girl. ETA I am due July 2nd with this dc Image Attachment(s):

Re: Summer moms
That's what I was afraid of...I'm due July 26 so I'm betting that turns into August so I wasn't sure if that with a sweater and all the blankets would be ok. I keep going back and forth that long sleeve will be too hot lol

Re: Summer moms
With all the air conditioning, and babies inability to regulate temperature look for a long sleeve, light weight cotton footed pants outfit. Eyelet cotton or combed cotton is good for a summer baby. HTH

Re: Summer moms
haven't picked out something specific but intend for it to be pants/long sleeve but a lightweight cotton.
and just have the car be 'cool' but not cold

Re: Summer moms
Im definitely doing a body suit or something around that cotton of course. Babies get cold and even though its hot they still need to be warm. I love your outfit though. I still haven't picked mine.

We just used a onesie. We had a blanket for the AC in the car.

DS was born at the end of July and we had long pants and a long shirt, both lightweight.

DD#1 was born in the middle of June and she came home in a one piece sleeper type outfit that said "take me home". It was so cute! My DS was born in early September and he came home in a cute long sleeve pants and shirt set. I remember it was 86 degrees and I still dressed him in long sleeves since their temps are not like ours. This baby will come in September too and will probably wear something similar.

DS was born at the beginning of June however it happened to be hot as hell the days I was in the hospital as well as the day I left. He wore a onesie and short-alls over that with socks. I put a light blanket on him in the car.
Babies ARE unable to regulate their temps like we are -- but that also means they struggle to cool themselves down when it's hot.
I'd suggest bringing 2 outfits (one long-sleeve/pants, one lighter) and go with your gut depending on the weather that day.
