Back in the saddle...
Hi there, it's been awhile since my last visit to the board....I had to wait for the courage to get my head, heart & brain back into this crazy roller coaster baby making ride god has put all of us on.
I'm about to start a new cycle, have a new re, and hopefully have a new positive outcome this time.
In short summary, we been trying for over 5 yrs...been though 2 obgyns, one RE, 10 ius, & 1 failed ivf and fet. Always had to pay out of pocket, my ins never recognized infertility as an approved medical occurrence.
After years of being diagnosed with unexplained infertility, My new RE now says I have a 'hostile uterus' my immune testing shows my uterus attacks instead of supports implantation. I have to start taking Neuprogen once my cycle starts to boost my white blood cells. I'm told this is the same drug they give cancer patients. Has anyone used this before? how long did u take it for? Where did you get it? I hear it's ridiculously expensive.
Any feedback is welcomed & appreciated, love u girls!!!

Re: Back in the saddle...
I used neupogen as a uterine wash, not an injection. From what I recall it was $500/vial out of pocket.

Re: Back in the saddle...
Welcome back! Hopefully with new RE, New plan, New meds, this will be it for you! I used Neupogen for a couple of years, handful of cycles. Yes, It is used for many other illnesses as well as Cancer. It did help to reduce my nk t cell activity and calm my immune response.
Lots of luck to you!!

no experience with neupogen but i wouldnt let the cancer thing scare you. femara is technically not medically approved for ovulation induction, its actually a breast cancer treatment med.
are your NK levels high? i had the issue with NK and immune system attacking embryos, it caused me 2 chemicals and i am fairly sure it is linked to me developing 3rd trimester pre-eclampsia/HELLP syndrome and delivering my daughter at 33w. i never did neupogen but i did intralipids and lovenox which helped keep me pregnant. good luck!
