Please recommend a moving company *please do not move*
Closing on our home in a few weeks  Wondering if anyone can recommend a moving company? men on the move is coming Fri for a estimate..

Men on the move is awesome. I have used them twice. Hopefully, I'm done moving forever b/c I love my house but I always recommend them. John the owner seems to be a class act .

I used Men on the Move the first time and they were great.
When we sold that home, our first home, and moved I called them again and it appeared that their prices had gone up quite a bit. We were on a set budget for that move so I couldn't afford them and ended up with another company that was cheaper -- they were just OK, but the price fit the bill at the time so I had to.
Not sure who you are working with at Men on the Move but I worked with Peter DiCarlo and he was great -- just surprised at the price jump the second time, it had only been three years since the first move.
We are in contract now and I just recently spoke to another company I was referred to -- co-workers VERY highly recommended him. I have not done the move yet but his price was great, he is fantastic, and I think I probably have someone that I'll always use now... Joe The Mover: 516.527.7778. We definitely recommend Agile Moving. They've been used by tons of LIF'ers--so definitely mention this website.

We just moved and called both Men on the Move and Agile. Both guys who came to give us an estimate were really nice and prompt and seemed very professional. Both quoted us the need for 2 26' trucks.
The estimate that Agile gave us was literally TWICE the amount that Men on the Move quoted us. Also, Men on the Move told us the move would be done in one 9-hour day while Agile said it would have to be a two day move (with them storing our stuff for the night).
At the end of the day, we ended up using another company that we were pretty happy with. We did need 2 trucks and the move lasted from 8am to 4:00pm.
Just wanted to add this info as a point of reference bc I see that both Agile and Men on the Move get recommended a lot.
