Uppa baby Vista vs. Cruz
For those who registered for the vista, did you ever consider the cruz and if so, what was your reason for not getting the cruz? Bassinet feature?
Or vice versa for those who registered for the cruz.
The main difference I see is the bassinet and wheels and I am not sure if the bassinet feature is worth it for me to get the vista. With DD I had the bumbleride and did fine with the stroller since it fully reclined.
Any feedback is Much appreciated!

Re: Uppa baby Vista vs. Cruz
We registered for the Cruz and its one of the registry items I'm most excited about! We actually didn't even check out the vista because or the weight difference. The Cruz is a lot more manageable for taking in and out of the car. I personally don't care about not having a bassinet since it would be used for such a short amount of time anyway and the light weight of the stroller just really sold me on it. When he's little, we will use it as a snap n go with our Chico car seat. I also love the large basket on the bottom. . Originally we were between that and the city mini but since this basically replaces the need for a snap n go, the basket is bigger, and it generally just seems better constructed, it was ultimately a no brainer!
Eta: Another feature I like is the ability to face the baby toward us if we want to. I think the vista could do the same, but like I said what really sold us between the two was the weight difference. I'm 5ft and small, there's no way I'm lugging some big heavy thing in and out of my SUV every time I take him somewhere!!

Re: Uppa baby Vista vs. Cruz
Based o n my previous experience a large basket is a must. As for the weight that was the issue with bumbleride. We ended up using our inexpensive graco stroller the most. But I am in love with the Uppa and leaning towards the cruz. You might have sold me with the weight.

I registered for the vista. The weight diff is only 3.5lbs. Not enough of a difference to really matter IMO.
I like having the bassinet option in addition to a stronger frame with better wheels.

Plus... The vista offers a rumble seat and Piggy back. So when we have a second we can use it for a toddler and an infant......

That makes sense! Our new addition will be our last. I am not sure if they had the Uppa around 2009. I wish I had seen it then.

Re: Uppa baby Vista vs. Cruz
Hmm didn't realize the weight difference was that slight because in person it seems noticeably different. The length and width is also smaller making it just seem more manageable and compact to me.
Regardless, I'm sure both are great options based on what your needs are I know of people happy with each. I'd definitely check them out in person to see the size difference since that really sold me. The only thing I personally liked better about the vista was the rumble seat but when the time comes if I even do get fortunate enough to have another baby, I'll worry about it then.

I did see them both in person. I guess I am still leaning towards the Cruz. What I liked most was the the large basket, reversible seat, and the smaller width (cruz). The wheels doesn't appear to be an issue for me with cruz.
I was just curious to know if there was any other reasons why some registered for the vista and others for the Cruz. I see that it is definitely a personal choice.
I am not putting the stroller on my registry. I plan to buy it on my own. So if I happen to see that the Vista has a major Sale, I may buy it. For now, it looks like the Cruz.

Re: Uppa baby Vista vs. Cruz
The video was informative but she's wrong about the Cruz not having a snack tray. It doesn't come with one but you could buy it as an "extra". Maybe she doesn't mention it because those are both the 2012 models. I'm so excited with my stroller and it was already taken off our registry!

Re: Uppa baby Vista vs. Cruz
Thank YOu! I actually saw it too! And it must have been recorded in 2012. I had to look it up on the Uppa website to see if whether or not the cruz had the option of adding a snack tray. IF it was not an option, I was going to scratch the cruz because I must have a snack tray!
