DH and I couldn't decide on a boys name so...
last night we went out to eat and made a deal. We each guessed the babys weight and whoever is closer gets to pick the name. He picked Ethan and I picked Jacob. We were both so close to each others guess though. I said 7lb6oz and he said 7lb7oz. DD was 7lb 12.5oz and born on her due date. This dc will be born a few days early (I think) due to scheduled c-section. Needless to say, he pushed me to order desert  Wish me luck.

My cousins did something like this
It was something like odd or even date of birth would decide whose name won.
He won!

THat does sound nice, however, DH wants his name as all the boys middle names.

That's a cute idea is you can't agree on names. I'll have to remember that if we have a girl next time (boy names are easy for us...girls names we can't agree on). And both names you guys have picked out are nice so you can't go wrong with it.

funny story! i knew a couple that had a similar debate over the exact names you and your dh like. one loved ethan - the other jacob. their son was born and they still couldnt decide until they made a compromise and came up with "jake". i dont know if that helps you at all but it worked for them!
