I hate my front yard bushes and would like to redo the design on my own. Anyone have recommendations on websites or places that can help and wouldnt be costly? I have looked around at nurseries and bushes are expensive!!!

I'm in the same boat so I can't help with design, but costco is starting to get their bushes & plants in & they are reasonable. Also, cheap Sam's out east on the lie service road is pretty reasonable too. I thi nk exit 62 or 63 on north side.

How big of a space? We are doing ours right now. We got all our bushes from a nursery out by me (east). The benefit of going to a nursery is all the different kinds and sizes in plants. Smaller plants are always cheaper. I hate bushes that grow fast and take over, so we got all slow growing, small in size plants. The major thing I learned in this process is to look for plants that grow different sizes, shapes, have different textures, and different colors. You'd be surprised how many colors you can find! Our space isn't too big, but we got one tree and about 11 bushes, plus compost and mulch all for just under 700. Good luck!

We looked into landscaping design & almost died when we got the estimate....

Needless to say, we did some research, picked the guy's brain, went on the internet for ideas & did it all ourselves.

We bought all the plants from Cheap Sam's & installed everything ourselves. All plants are guaranteed & have been growing beautifully.

I bought this little computerized thing called Easybloom. Its a USB powered device and you basically stick it into the ground where you need to plant something and leave it in for 24 hours. After 24 hours you pick it up, plug it into your computer and it tells you what type of plants would do well in that area. You can even limit the results to shrubs, or perennials etc. It's awesome!
