Crashing- Help me understand pregnancy
I'm confused about the pregnancy timeline..lol
I got my period 2 weeks ago and I may be ovulating today. If I get pregnant today, how far along am I? Would I be 1 day pregnant or 2 weeks since my past period was 2 weeks ago?
If someone is 8 weeks pregnant, is it 8 weeks since their last period or 8 weeks since the conception? TIA!

Re: Crashing- Help me understand pregnancy
I goes by your 1st day of your last menstrual cycle.
So if someone was 8 weeks, that means 8 weeks since their last period.

This.
It's actually a little strange that they consider you pregnant before you actually are, although I understand their reasoning since most people don't know exactly when they conceived.

Yes it's really weird but at conception you are considered 2 weeks pregnant. It's because they count yor LMP as part of your pregnancy cycle, since your body technically gears up for pregnancy every month.

Yep it goes by your last period, but then they changed my due date based on the size of my baby, so then it gets all screwy!! I mean if you have long periods, are you pregnant longer??? haha!

Mine was a little different. My doctor counted 2 weeks back from the date of my IUI, so technically not the first day of my LMP because my cycles were long.
