Going to a brand new resort

We booked a vacation for December at a resort that is opening in November. Have you ladies ever been to such a brand new resort?

I've heard mixed reviews on them.

I stayed at a hotel that had just opened. The rooms were excellent and the service was great. But three doors down the rooms were not finished and you could hear construction work going on starting at 8 am. I called and asked if they could postpone until 9, and they moved to another area of the hotel.
