Re: questions for OB?
Honestly I think the most important thing is that you feel comfortable with the office and doctor.Your personality should mesh with theirs. I'm 21wks and I never discussed delivery with my OB. I feel like what will be will be ... I've seen too many friends go through last minute emergency situations where plans went out the window. I like that my OB and his associate are calming, not worriers like me (so it's a good mix ) and they've really catered to my needs as a nervous patient with a complicated history.

At my first appt we didn't discuss anything like that. It was like, hey you're pregnant do/don't do this and that. And they send you for bloodwork. Take it one step at a time because they are the experts and you will not be able to pre-plan your labor.

questions for OB?
Way too soon to talk about delivery. Lots can happen between now and then.
I would ask for schedule of appts. List of things you can and can't do eat etc.

Re: questions for OB?
My OB gave me a whole folder of info at my first visit and it pretty much answered any questions I had.
ie....what meds were safe to take, how much weight gain is typical, their appointment, testing and sono schedules, and plenty of other stuff I can't even remember anymore.

Re: questions for OB?
yea i def didn't talk delivery...it's too early.
I really didn't ask many questions. They said everything was going good explained the practice and then i got a big folder with all sorts of info about what to eat, what meds are good to take, and lots of other stuff

Totally agree! It's way too soon to discuss delivery. My first visit it came up by my OB because I had 2 previous sections so it will be a c section again but that's pretty much as far as it went. Once you are around 32 weeks then address your birth plan.

First ask when they want to see you next. Then ask anything you need to know to get you to that next appointment. Because beyond that, it gets too overwhelming and things can change quickly.
As for specifics, I asked about meds I take regularly - what could I stop or keep taking. I asked about diet. I asked about exercise. And I asked how to get in touch with the practice during off hours if I had a concern or question.
