Washer/Dryer Rec
Now that the renovations are complete from the Sandy damage I need to purchase a new washer and dryer.
Which ones do you recommend and where did you purchase it?
Thanks:)

Re: Washer/Dryer Rec
We got the Samsung front loaders. We looked for the biggest inside. The dryer was the biggest we could find. After having them for a few months they are great! No issues!! We got them from pc Richards. If the price goes down in like 60 or 90 days, they will refund you, plus they will match any cheaper price you find. Also, I don't recommend the pedestals, they are 200 each, and my parents said they don't fit larger bottles of detergent etc. so we are building a pedestal to raise them.

Re: Washer/Dryer Rec
We got GE front loaders.
I used Marlin Appliance in Seaford. Pretty much had everything in stock for delivery/installation and the price was cheaper than the big box stores. (And I didn't need to wait weeks for delivery/installation).
I also got 2 decent rebates back and felt like I was supporting a local business :).

We have Whirpool Duet. LOVE them. We purchased them at PC Richards. They are easy to deal with when your appliances need to be serviced, and DH loves haggling with them.

Re: Washer/Dryer Rec
We have a Whirlpool set (not sure of the model). The washer is a top load and I am not crazy about it. I wanted an agitator and this one has one, but when you start the cycle the lid locks and you cannot open it until the cycle ends (say if you forgot to put something in). Also the water does not start to fill the washer until you close the lid and start the cycle, this drives me nuts because I used to rinse off the detergent cap in the running water.
ETA: we bought them at Best Buy, but onyl because we had gift cards. I would have rather bought them from PC Richard.
