Regular periods but not ovulating
Hi ladies - I wanted to post my question here since you all are so knowledgeable.
I have been TTC for baby #3 for 8 months. In the past I have gotten pregnant by BD'ing every other day starting on CD10. Obviously thats not working. My Dr suggested an ovulation kit test and if I am not ovulating they will start me on clomid.
I am on CD 14 and I am still not ovulating. I know there is plenty of days left in the monthh, but I had some discharge yesterday and today and have been crampy which I always thought to be signs of ovulation. My periods are regular and have been about every 25 days.
Any input would be helpful! Thanks!!

Re: Regular periods but not ovulating
hmmm. There could be a few things happening here. Either you tend to O earlier and you may have O'd already or you have a short LP. Which OPKs are you using and when are you testing? They don't recommend you use FMU to test with those. I'm not entirely sure why but apparently it can mess with the results.
If you continue to have crazy results from the opk you might want to consider temping.

before we started going to RE I too was OPKing and it never showed that I was O. but I was. as PP said maybe its the brand of test or too early/late O. not sure what to suggest as I went directly to RE.

I would temp. You can't 100% rely on OPKs. Temping is the only way to tell without sonos and bloodwork.

Re: Regular periods but not ovulating
I am using a brand called Answer. It doesn't specify when to use it, just that you should use it at the same time every day. I have all the ovulation symptoms right now without the surge showing. This morning the test line was very faint but just for the heck of it, I tested again this afternoon and it was definitely darker does that mean I may be on my way to ovulating? Can the line get darker as you get closer to ovulating ?

Re: Regular periods but not ovulating
You might be getting ready to ovulate if the line is darker. Never heard of the brand you are using. Some of the brands are hard to read. If you are having increased CM today I would keep testing.
Also agree with pp that you may want to temp next cycle as well cause OPK are not always accurate.
