Silly question but what does it do? My Re said retrieval might be Sunday and he ordered me lupron but I am reading the paper that was given to us by the Re and it Said lupron is used for 1 to 4 weeks before hcg? I am confused? Has anyone only used it for a short time?

Its used to keep you suppressed during your ivf cycle so your re can keep some sort of control over how the cycle. it can also be used as a trigger shot, which in your case looks like it is. Good luck!

Did your dr mention that you were hyper stimulating? It sounds like In Your case they are using it as a trigger.
Could be that they are trying to keep you from developing OHSS.

No he didn't mention that!!! Oh no!!! I think it's being used as a trigger. That was the one thing I was nervous about!

Your RE is probably using that as your trigger. The 1-4 weeks is usually during an IVF cycle for suppression so you don't prematurely ovulate.
