We have a 20' Hickory and 26' Oak Tree in our backyard

I had Sav-A-Tree out to give me a quote to inspect and prune the trees of any dead branches and was quoted $1,500 for both trees

this seems pretty high to me, so i was wondering if anyone had anything to compare it to.

and if anyone has any other south shore nassau companies to recommend?

I prefer to use someone who is properly trained in tree pruning, not just any tree company who will lop off the branches and make the poor tree look ridiculous (as so many trees i see are done by the power company and landscapers who aren't properly trained)
