Weird "numbness" in top of thigh

I am 27 weeks pregnant. My thigh doesn't feel numb per se, just the top, closest to my knee, when I scratch it, it sort of feels numb, it has a very weird feeling. No pain or anything, and it's only the top of my thigh. I am thinking either because I've been slacking on my iron/B12. I've been slacking on water and I am totally dehydrated or the baby is sitting on a nerve of some sort. I have the DR tomorrow morning, so I will bring it up there, just wondering if anyone has every experienced anything like that!

Yep, I had the same thing... I'm 17 weeks and since around 15 weeks, for a period of about 2 or so weeks (it still comes and goes) but steady for about 2 or so weeks I had numbness that ranged: always in the right leg, but sometimes it was down in my calf/foot, other times it was by my knee, other times it was upper leg and close to the pelvis -- and sometimes it was the whole darn leg! My doctor said the little guy is probably laying or resting on a nerve. Great! but it went away and seemed to get a lot better. It used to wake me up sometimes!

ETA: I should say, when I went in for a sonogram the tech had to go allllll the way over to my ride side, very low, and sure enough - that's where he was hanging out.

I am starting to feel tingly all over! Not sure if it's anxiety now, or what. My cheeks feel it, first it was the left, now it's both, my left arm and my left thigh. I am scared it could be a stroke or something, but the only symptoms are tingling, and it's not even pins and needles, it's like a weird feeling. Like those sharp pins and needles that come on randomly. So glad I have an OB appointment tomorrow.

It's probably because the baby is sitting on your sciatic nerve. I have pains down my legs too and my doctor said it was normal

I hope my LO moves soon!

i had it. its sciatic pain. i got massages and went to a chiropractor. it helped but didn't completely go away until i gave birth. HTH
