Sleeping
I know this is crazy early, but did anyone else experience difficulty getting comfortable to sleep early on? I'm a tummy sleeper, but find it makes me more crampy to lay that way and I have difficulty falling asleep on my back and side. Anyone else experience this or is it allin my crazy head?

Sleeping
It's funny you say this because I actually did feel this way myself -- especially the past couple of nights. I thought it was all in my head but I still did a modified side/tummy thing.
I'm only 5 weeks today so it's...odd..

Re: Sleeping
In the first tri I could have slept on a bed of nails if I had to.
Now at 20wks I'm a much lighter sleeper.

Re: Sleeping
sure, tired in the day so I fall asleep early. I'm up really early and then I go back until it's time for work.
Haven't slept on belly since I found out I was preggo, I think it's all in my head though.

Re: Sleeping
i had tons of trouble sleeping at the beginning. lots of pillows tucked in random places helped.
i wanted one in front of me to hug, behind me, between my knees.
also sleeping half on my side, half on my stomach felt most comfortable.

Sleeping
i slept pretty well in my first trimester but once i couldn't sleep on my belly anymore, all bets were off. now the bed is my enemy and i spend all night tossing and turning! sometimes the pregnancy pillow thingy helps a little but not much.

It's as if I wrote this! I was the SAME way in the beginning!! DH was getting tired of all the pillows and we have a king size bed. I had CRAZY insomnia and couldn't believe that people kept saying "sleep now because when you get bigger it will get harder"...I feel like a good nights sleep is WAY before I was pregnant and won't be for the next 20 years!

Re: Sleeping
I just got the Leacho Snoogle pillow- LOVE IT! Makes sleeping on my side so much more comfortable w/ one pillow rather than 4 or more!

Sleeping
I can't sleep at all. My Dr actually gave me benedryl to try and help me sleep and help with my allergies at the same time but even that hasn't helped. If I use a lot of pillows especially for my feet and tummy I get about two hours than up again and the cycle continues.

Re: Sleeping
The first time around I didn't have many sleep issues until the end.
This time...I'm in the first tri and already can't sleep. I can't get comfy, wake easily, and need to pee all the time because of all the water.

Sleeping
I'm having trouble sleeping too. It's been so warm the last few nights and that's not helping!! I was the same with DS, had awful insomnia and I would be up for hours through the night.

Re: Sleeping
Yes, I think bc I was a tummy sleeper as well - what really helped me was I had surgery in August so I had to, because of that, "learn" to sleep other ways which made it a lot easier when I got PG to sleep on my side. It's hard - it takes a while to get used to. A large king-sized pillow helped me a lot. I'd prop it along my body, it helped me.
