Well this is sad....
4 months ago I was running 8.5 miles. Today, 40 minute walk with the dog and I'm pooped. I worked out a few times the first couple weeks I knew I was prego but for close to 2 months nada. A 40 minute walk was amazing. But, I'm exhausted! Oy. I can't believe how much my stamina has decreased. I was soooo ready to be such a fit prego and I have been a BLOB. I hope I can start adding more activity in. Even just regular long walks with the puppers.

I know what you mean. I know I am growing a human and it is beautiful and all but I do feel like a lazy poop sometimes when I can't do what I used to. And I hear it only gets worse in the last trimester!!!!

I feel for you Mer. I was doing the elliptical for 3 miles EVERY DAY when I got pregnant. When MS I stopped and I just don't have the stamina anymore and my asthma just keeps getting worse. I think I'm going to have to have to wait until after DS is born and then I'll be the "fit mom" and not the "fit pregnant woman".

I hear ya. I've been very lucky that at almost 8 months I am still doing 30 minutes of cardio daily and weight training a few times a week but I definitely miss how strong and fit I was. I keep saying to my husband "i can't wait to feel like myself again."

Re: Well this is sad....
Crashing to say I def relate 100%. This time last year, I had just finished my 6th half marathon at 5.5 wks preggo. Since giving birth, I've run 2x, barely making it over a mile. It's so hard to look back to where I was, but when I get sad about losing my endurance, I remember that I have this beautiful baby girl that I wouldn't trade for anything!

Thank you
Most of the time I"m fine just it was weird going for this long walk around a loop I used to run in like 15 minutes with no issues, and then coming home exhausted!

Well this is sad....
I was really happy to read this! I felt like there was something wrong with me because I can just not keep up with my old routine. Worked out 4-6 days a week...elliptical, jogging, classes. And now I'm almost 10 weeks and I've done nothing. I've got that mild nauseau all day every day and after work all I want to do is go home and catch the last 20min of 90210 reruns on Soapnet. I even bought the Tracy Anderson Pregnancy Project DVD's. All it is is light weights and I still can't find the motivation to do it. I'm hoping once I get into my 2nd trimester I can start doing something to feel like myself again. Glad I'm not the only one who didn't stick to the "I'll work out all through my pregnancy" declaration I made back in those pre-pregnancy days.

Re: Well this is sad....
First of all I have not walked my poor dog in over 5 months!!! I just can't muster up the energy. Second, when I was in my first trimester I was still coaching ice hockey and when I would skate from the goal line to the blue line, I would get so winded and exhausted I had to sit down. I laughed about it then, but in the second I was able to do more on the ice. Now, forget it, I am 33 weeks, and I get winded going downstairs to do the laundry!!!
