Next edition of Baby Bargains coming soon
I know how incredibly overwhelming registering can be... I'm pretty sure I cried at the thought of it. DH and I even did a "dry run" at BRU and BBB to just get a sense of what was out there.
Saw that Baby Bargains is releasing their latest version on April 19 so for those of you who are in the process of registering or getting ready to, I highly recommend this. It made things alot less stressful.

I thought it was helpful but scary! I would register and then have a friend with a baby check it for you. Someone who will be honest and say what is a waste and what is needed/

One thing that I did appreciate was it said not to register for a wipe warmer. To this day I tell new moms this.
It's not Consumer Reports per say. The book is thick and basically reviews virtually every version of every item you could possibly need for a baby. Furniture, diapers, wipes, car seats, Pack&Plays, strollers, crib sheets, baby clothes etc etc. Their ratings are based on their experience, cost, quality, reports of parents, not necessarily safety testing though they will definitely talk about that. They talk about things you might be able to get cheaper. They discuss what you should never scrimp on (like car seats actually have expiration dates)
They give you ideas of what you absolutely must register for and recommend quantities. They tell you what not to waste your time registering for -- like the wipe warmer.

I agree, I loved Baby Bargains when I was registering. But I loved my wipes warmer. Never regretted it.
