Newbie Intro and Vent

I have been looking at posts for a few weeks in search for some hope and inspiration.

DH and I have been TTC for a little over a year. I have been off of BC for about 3 years now. In October I began fertility testing with my OBGYN. I decided I wanted to rule out that there was an issue instead of finding out 6 months later and thinking if only we knew sooner. By December DH had a SA and we were told that he should see a urologist. We have been diagnosed with unexplained MF.

In January we did our 1st IUI and received BFN. In February we did 2nd round of IUI with clomid and again BFN. The urologist explained to us that IUI might work but that IVF was our best option. After the second unsuccessful IUI, my OBGYN said try one more round and then see an RE. When I called to ask a question about taking clomid for the 3rd IUI, the nurse said I should see an RE.

I made an appointment with a few REs and decided to go with the one I first meet with and canceled the other appointment. We were planning on doing an IUI for March and then if necessary IVF for April. During some more testing he found polyps on my cervix and had to have a DNC last week....so no IUI. My RE assured me that this would still keep me on track for IVF in April. I have been trying to find out my protocall for the IVF, AF is due Sunday / Monday (sorry TMI), but I still have no plan. I have anxiety and this whole journey has kicked it into high gear. I have been having crazy dreams and have not had a solid night's sleep in weeks. I called the REs office again today, I told them that I was nervous that I was running out of time for a plan and they told me I should not be nervous, that someone will call me tomorrow. I know that I will need medications, etc... how long does it take to get these things? Sorry for the long post but I thought I would introduce myself and thought maybe you could share so advise. TY

Re: Newbie Intro and Vent

first..have they ever considered a iui with injectables and femara instead of clomid?

ivf is a big jump after a few iui but that is jmo

as for ivf if you are going to start you may be on bcp for a few weeks before u start stimming anyway so u will have time for meds

it really all depends on your protocol and everyone has a diff one

if the office said they will call i would trust in that, esp since af is not set to come till sun
