rocking horse vs everyday chair

Ladies my dd 1st bday is coming up and i want some opinions, especially btdt moms. Also fyi i live in an apartment still so not a ton of room like my dd does not have a playroom yet. Currently house hunting.

My sister want to buy her a rocking horse. I was actually thinking about the pottery barn everyday chair. What do you think is better? That a child will get more use out of?
Im not even sure whay my dd would like more. I almost feel the rocking horse might be a toy she plays with at first then get bored? Or is it considered a keepsake item? Or is it more of an out dated thing?
Im almost thinking the everday chair may be something she gets more use of cause it can be used when she watches tv as she grows. Just hang out in. Have snacks in as she gets older.

Any thoughts suggestions opinions welcome.

We have both and DS gets more use out of his Pottery Barn chair. It's big enough so that DH and I can sit in it as well while we play if we want to.

DS does like his rocking horse but, he goes through phases where he can take it or leave it.

Chair by far. We have a land of nod chair and a rocking horse...DS hasn't sat on the rocking horse once but LOVEs his chair! By far a wonderful purchase.
