What age did you start using....

1) Regular Stroller/Umbrella Stroller - they both say 6 months, but if the child is big for her age, and able to sit up, is it ok to start using it a few weeks early? a month early?

2) Soothie blanket/toy (the little blanket with an animal attached). DD loves to cuddle things but we are so paranoid about SIDS

3) Exersaucer

4) Soothers/Music/Lights designed for night time. I'm thinking DD will be stimulated by them at this age, but not sure when to try them for their intended purpose (i.e. twilight turtle, projector, etc)

5) Level 2+ nipples. DD is no longer willing to breastfeed so I am pumping. Going to be switching to formula when I go back to work. We are still using infant nipples.

I used the regular stroller starting at 5 months. DD sat up at 5 months.

Soothie blanket/toys starting at 6/7 months. She didn't like to cuddle things, but now likes a small security blanket.

never used an exersaucer so i dont know about that one.

musics/lights/soothers... since day 1. we have gentle giraffe for noise, plus tranquil and twilight turtle. doesnt seem to overstimulate her. usually helps. sometimes it doesnt though, so we just turn it off if that is the case.

level 2 nipples, not really sure either to be honest. i think dd drinks from both 1's and 2's interchangeably and im not exactly sure when that started.

1. I dont remember exactly but we didnt use the city mini for a while. Ds was tiny and didnt really fit into the straps. Ds was also born late spring so by the time he was old enough for it it was cold and just easier to keep in car seat/snap and go.

2. Never used a soothie toy or a lovey (or paci). He started with a blanket around 10 mons to a year. He sttn since 8 weeks just swaddled until he would break out.

3. He was in the exersaucer by 4-5 months. But was short and didnt touch the bottom for a while

4. We only used a mobile and that was only early on for first 2 months and then we didnt bother. Never used sound machine or music etc

What age did you start using....

Im a first time mom so by no means an expert but this is what ive heard/experienced...
1. Yes ive heard of people using them even at 3 months. My dd is 9 months but on the small side so im just getting one now. But i could havegotten it sooner i just waited .

2. This im still not comfortable with. But im trying to find something to give her as a soother because she doesnt take a paci.

3. I put my dd in her jumper once she could sit up on her own really well about 4 months.

4. I was using that around 6 months i had the homeomedics soother with projector. But i eventually stopped when i noticed it really wasnt soothing her.

5. I went up to medium flow nipple when i saw my dd was getting annoyed trying to drink. And she was drinking more oz so it was taking like 30 min to finish a bottle or longer. The first couple of times it took her getting used to but then she was all good so i knew it was the right choice. Eta: was roughly around 6 months maybe 7...

1. We used our snap and go, then switched to the citi mini around 3.5 months.
2. DS has never been attached to a lovely, blanket, toy etc. He does like his music soother attached to the crib. If he wakes himself in the middle of the night, he turns it on and falls right back to sleep. He also = did take a pacifier until 7 months old.
3. Exersaucer was about 7 months right when we bought it. We did have a jumperoo before that that we introduced around 5 months.
4. We have a projection mobile and a music soother thing in his crib. We started the mobile around 2.5 months and the music soother thing around 3.5 months. The purpose of the mobile for us was to get him to like his crib. the purpose of the music soother was basically another form of entertainment in the crib. To this day (DS is almost 14 months), he uses the music soother and plays with the projection mobile (by play he turns it on, pulls off the toys throws them out of the crib, and spins the shade, lol).
5. We breastfed and DS took bottles of breastmilk, so we never left level 1 nipples.

1.haven't put my 6 month old DD in the stroller yet- still using snap n go
2.don't feel comfortable leaving her with a lovey yet. i do leave the wubbanub paci in the crib
3. exercauser around 4 months
4. the homedics soother with the light projection- we use every night. also have a soother in the crib.
5. we upped the nipple to level 2 at 3 months.

I think it is fine if they are big for their age and can sit up. DS was fine in the infant seat until @ 9/10 months and it was so easy to click him in car and then in snap n go that I used it until I HAD to switch lol

DS loved loved loved (and still loves) his lovey, I think from 4 months on is fine.

3) Exersaucer--4 or 5 monts, try it and see you will be able to tell if they are ready

We tried everything and DS never slept well so I am not much help here lol

we used level 1 until we switched to zippy, the level 2 gushed out

What age did you start using....

We gave DS his first ride in the Maclaren around four months. Our other stroller was a snap and go though so we used that most of the time.

We used a mobile from the beginning but DS could take it or leave it.

For loveys, DS 1 had a blanket and a stuffed frog starting at 7 months. He still uses the same frog and blanket today at 3 1/4. DS 2 started closer to 1.

We only used the jumperoo and we started between 3 and 4 months.

For nipples, we switched around three months when it started taking forever to drink a bottle. We never moved past level 2 though, DS 1 didn't want level 3 and we never tried with DS 2.

Not to be a party pooper but our little guys physical therapist had said she doesn't like exersaucers because they aren't great for development

That being said our little guy was in the exersaucer around 7 months and not for long periods of time
