Speaking of helpful/considerate husbands....(insert eyeroll)

Conversation that just took place on my couch:

Me - I'm exhausted, I walked so many blocks today
DH - get ready to walk one more (points to dog)
Me - excuse me, I walked him twice today already
DH - and I walked him the 3 times before that
Me - OK OK. Just do me a favor and remind me which one of us is currently carrying our baby? And therefore which one of us maybe should pick up some slack with the OTHER baby (dog)?
DH - I'll get back to you
Me - also please consider which one of us will be shoving said baby out of our pee-hole
DH - maybe not
Me - true, I may get sliced open and have the baby ripped out of me
DH - I'll get back to you

....He is currently playing video games. The end.

the only complain I have from DH is that he doesn't wash dishes. I cook and stuff but the dishes can remain there unless I become upset then he washes them lol other than that he is really helpful around the house and helps to clean and stuff

This is me and DH. We don't have a dog and he HAS to do the litter box so I'm in the clear on that one.

I do the food shopping and cooking and cleaning up after dinner. If I don't do the dishes, the dishes don't get done. I don't work so I haven't complained that much until recently. My stomach is getting to big to even reach the water in the sink...it's actually a little funny. I have been reminding DH to start preparing to do the dishes...we'll see how this works out.

Meredith, what is he going to do when you can't bend over to pick up after the dog? I stopped bending over about last week since every time I do I can't breathe and feel like I a crushing LO. Then he's going to have to do it ALL THE TIME!

He walked the dog Chat Icon He basically does everything I ask of him, and only occasionally groans or mumbles about it. I think he just didn't want to get up from his new video game.

Re: Speaking of helpful/considerate husbands....(insert eyeroll)

This cracked me up, I had a similar conversation last night with DH

ME: Linus can you ask daddy to get the chocolate syrup for mommy since you are on my lap and i can't move....

DH: Linus get off mommy's lap so she can get her own chocolate syrup.

ME: Honey, he isn't moving and my ice cream really needs more chocolate...

DH: Then move him.

ME: I can't get up it hurts too much!!!

DH: What do you want from me? to jump through hoops for you?????

ME: No, I just want you to get me the chocolate syrup.

DH: UGH!!! Fine...got up and brought me the chocolate syrup!!!

Those sound like the conversations I have with dh all the time. He has a bad habit of not remembering I can't bend very well right now so picking up the cat food bowls is a huge accomplishment.

Re: Speaking of helpful/considerate husbands....(insert eyeroll)

Mine texted me asking me to pick up Gatorade for him on my way home from my Mom's last night.

He was hungover from drinking ALL DAY at the Mets game and he already had his pants off.

I told him to put his pants back on and get his own gatorade. He seems to forget that it isn't easy to "run" into 7-11 with 2 toddlers at 8pm. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
