Question about blow dryers
What makes one better than another. What is there about a $100 - $150 blow drier, compared to a $40 one, that makes it worth the price. If there really is a difference I will go for it, but just not sure what to expect.
Thanks

Question about blow dryers
I always had cheap Conairs growing up but I decided last year to get one that was considered a "professional" dryer. It was about $75 on sale and it's seriously amazing. It's more powerful so my hair dries quicker but it doesn't fry my hair at all. It's as soft and healthy as it's ever been. I've turned a lot of people onto it and they all love it too. It's a Solia found on Folica.com.

Re: Question about blow dryers
I use to not think anything different between the cheap and the more expensive hairdryers till I owned one. I have long wavy/curly hair that I straighten about 3-4x a week. My hair dryer cuts the drying time in half, smoothes out my hair and half the time I don't need a flat iron.
I bought my hair dryer on amazon.com for $65, but it was more expensive on folica.com.

Re: Question about blow dryers
my old 2000 watt Bablyliss Pro just died out after 10 yrs. I went to Ulta out of desperation and the only 2000 watt is Rusk. Just tried it for the 1st time today and love it. I will never go below 2000 watts, it's just so much worth it, faster, and the ionic/tourmaline is so much better for my hair.

I definitely need a new, high quality hair dryer. Would love to hear additional recommendations.

Re: Question about blow dryers
The Elchim Uragano that LIFers told me to buy has lasted about 6 years. I used to go through more than one hairdryer a year. I don't think there is a huge difference in how it dries but it has paid for itself. It was about $120 at that time.
