What's up with the NASTY vitamins???
Now that DD is on whole milk the pediatrician gave her a prescription for a multivitamin. It's 1mL and this nasty smelling black liquid. OMG it's terrible!!!! I gave it straight to DD and she gagged and cried after. Can't say I blame her at all. Then she had black all over her hands and face. OMG how am I gonna do this every day? I even tried putting it in her squash first but that didnt work. Any alternative vitamins out there I can ask the dr to prescribe? I still smell it on her. Ewww!

What's up with the NASTY vitamins???
DD has vitamins with iron and they stain and smell (although the smell reminds me of flinstones vitamins). DD loved the vitamin d drops from birth and then when we switched to the multi vitamin she hated it. After a month or two though she has gotten used to them and now takes them without a problem at all.
I make sure I have a wet paper towel ready so I can wipe off any spills. I try not to let her touch the dropper and wipe her mouth right after and then brush her teeth. And if she doesn't cooperate one day then I don't force it. She gets what she gets and I'm not going to worry about it.

Do you think I should be brushing her teeth if they have fluoride in them? That may be a stupid question

Once they switched the formula for these vitamins we went straight to chewable. Your dd may be too young for them though.
