Bar Harbor Maine with kids

We are going to Bar Harbor for a week at the end of the summer... Besides Acadia , which we are researching trails and such for hiking...any must see/do's in the area or rec's for places to eat? ( kids are 6 and 3 yr old twins). TIA!

I went last summer and LOVED IT.

Go to Geddys if you have kids, its loud in there lol and really laid back and the food is good.

For a nicer more adult place try Gaylns next door, great food and cute atmosphere.

We did not have kids when we went and spent 3 days hiking Acadia and Cadillac mountain. Do not attempt that with kids at all. But there are so many trails there that are easy that you can do with kids, lakes and beaches within the park to visit. Go to the visitors center in the park as soon as you get there and the rangers will help you plan out your stay.

There is a nice small beach at Acadia that I didn't realize was there until we were on our way to the trail we wanted to hike.
It seemed popular with little kids.

Also, we didn't get a chance to go, but we stayed near this
mini golf place that looked fun. Not sure if your twins are too young.
