This survey says that the typical kid asks 220 questions a day. The typical 4 year old....400 questions!!!!
Sounds about right to me!!! No wonder I am so tired and in need of quiet by the end of the day!
The survey says it adds up to 105,120 questions a year.

I believe it. Today we had a conversation, loudly, in church about jesus and being crucified. I am glad he is into god but do you really need to practically shout questions about why Jesus was killed. Omg. They mentioned the guy who got his ear cut off in the passion and he chose that moment to pay attention and yell, "why did they cut his ear off Mommy". Nothing I could do would shut him up!
And I try to tell him to be quiet because I have a headache I get 67648297 questions about why I have a headache!!!

lucky me, my kid started this at 2.5...
Wonderful moms on this forum have taught me, that when it gets overwhelming to try to answer with "why do you think so and so?" or "I have to think about that, will you think with me?"

My DH says listening to me and DS talk is similar to being in a looney bin...and sometimes it really is.
**** the questions...he's 3.5 and we havent even gotten to the "WHY" phase yet.

4yo DS talks non-stop and asks a million questions. He will barely let me talk to DH or any other adult.

Oh man I know the feeling! My 2 and 3 year old do the same thing!

Holy cow, those are some crazy numbers! I believe it too! My son is 3 and asks tons of questions all day. It doesn't bother me though, I love it actually and I think it's adorable. It's like his little brain is growing so much every day and they are like sponges and want to soak in everything they possibly can. I think it's sweet and I just want to bottle up this time and save it forever!

Kids ask too many questions....
I found if I give DS an answer he can understand, he'll ask another question. If I tell him something way over his head, he lets it go.
