Who is planning to be a SAHM?

I'm literally counting down the days until I can leave my job. I'm leaving at 36 weeks bc I commute back and forth into the city.

Who else will be a SAHM? Do you know of any new mom groups in the area? I'd love to make new mommy friends and have something to do to break up the weeks.

I'm not but I do work a very flexible schedule so I'm going to have a lot of time home.

I've been a SAHM since my DS was born 2 years ago and I love it! I plan to stay home when the twins are born as well. I commuted to the city as well and stopped at 36 weeks just like you... it was the best feeling to not have to be out of the house for 12 hours a day anymore. Where are you located? I don't know of Mommy groups, but we are always out and about doing things and always up for playdates.

So glad you understand where in coming from. My job is being really inflexible. I'm leaving at 36 weeks so they said my leave starts from that point. My unpaid 12 weeks mind you. So they expect me to come back when I could potentially have a 6 or 7 weeks old. The almost 4 hr commute back and forth is crazy. Plus I don't want both me and my husband being so far away from the baby during the day. K. Vent over.
