How much oil does your family use...
in a month or in between fill ups? We only have an oil burner for heat and Hot water... There are five of us in the house. We are hoping to move soon and don't want to leave our scumbag landlord with much in the tank. He left us with nothing when we moved in and failed to tell us.... We stopped our contract with Slomins and started to use a company that will drop what we need, when we need it... It took us about 3 weeks to go through 100 gallons... Not sure if that is normal. Our oil burner is REALLY old and does not work very well so I think that isn't helping the oil usage....

I just read an article that said the typcial house on LI uses about 800 gallons of oil each year.
We use about half of that (maybe slighty more) because we have a wood burning stove that we keep running as much as possible.

How much oil does your family use...
Not sure but we've never come close to empty when they come to fill it up. It's usually at about 1/2. Our tank is 275 gal.

We get about 100-125 gallons once a month since November. Beyond that I can't answer because we moved in in October. Use oil for heat and hot water. 4 adults 1 child and I keep the temp 68-72 at night cause I am not gonna freeze in my own home.

That sounds like us.. I just wanted to make sure we weren't screwing ourselves.. We use about 100 gallons in 3.5 weeks...
