Re: Newport in july for bachelorette

If you look down a coupe of posts I reviewed the hotels I've stayed at. Any would work for a bachelorette party, but the two B&Bs are definitely better locations.
As far as places to go, we always spend our days at Atlantic Beach Club. You can't walk it from the main area, you need to drive. We hang at the beach and get drinks and lunch at the beach bar.
We also like to spend a day walking around town and grabbing lunch outside at the wharf.
The Mooring is great for dinner- their scallop chowder and bag of donuts are amazing! Try to get a table outside if you can.
The Cook House is another good place for dinner. There are two different types of dining. The main floor has a more casual menu and the roof top has a way more formal atmosphere. I've eaten at both and they're both really good, but very different. Downstairs is more of a trendy see and be seen type of place. Its crowded and the service s good not great. Upstairs makes you feel like you're celebrating a really special occasion with outstanding white glove service. Underneath the restaurant is the Candy Shop, which is a cute basement bar. The music is fun, but it's kind if small.
We have also eaten at H20, which is another hotspot. The location on the water is awesome, but the service and food weren't nearly as good as you would expect for the prices. Its a good place to go around happy hour ad have a couple of drinks. They also charge a $20 cover on weekends.
If you like live bands, then One Pelham East is it. We always have a blast there, and it's on the corner of where Pearls is.
