18 m movement, for EI pt meeting
My twins have their next ei meeting on wed, they have been receiving services for a year, and their pt ist was sick today so I couldn't ask her what our goals should be for the meeting. What does your 18m lo do as far as movement? Walk, run, climb, kick a ball, hop, stairs on feet or knees? up or down etc.. I have no idea. One of my girls has just started walking more then crawling and the other takes a few steps. This is why they get ei. Thanks in advance for your responses

Re: 18 m movement, for EI pt meeting
My DD is 16 1/2 months. She is experimenting with running (gets a few strides, then falls or starts walking again). She is able to climb, kick and throw a ball (overhand and under) and climb stairs on her knees. I have not worked with her going down the stairs at all but she can get down from the couch or other higher object. She tries to jump, however her feet never leave the ground. I'll add if I think of anything else.

DD is 18 months. She can walk, run, turn in circles, she can walk up stairs, and down holding someones hand, kick a ball, stand on one foot very briefly, walk on tip toes, climbs everything, she can change speed and direction easily, walk up and down small steps and ramps on her own, climb ladders (for the slide), climb onto the couch, she's almost jumping.
Hope your meeting goes well, good luck!

In your pts evaluation report for the meeting it should have goals on it. This is usually a good place to start.

Re: 18 m movement, for EI pt meeting
Quality of movement is just as important- in order to teach our little guy to walk our PT first had to teach him to to fall or to catch himself
Holding himself up using good posture - things like that were important for our little guy
