cramps in lower abdomen
24 weeks and I just started getting these weird cramps in my lower abdomen, almost where i would normally get period cramps. Of course I was JUST at the doctor. No bleeding or any other symptoms. The first time it lasted a couple minutes and now its happening again. Any need to call the dr you think?

How are you feeling now? What did you end up doing?

TY for checking on me! I was googling around of course and found many women with the same symptom. Common consensus is either the uterus stretching or even braxton hicks (this early?!) It has not been consistent and right now I feel great so I think I am going to wait to see if it gets worse/more consistent. Of course it happens 3 hours after seeing the OB, kinda like when you bring your car to the mechanic and it runs great for him

Re: cramps in lower abdomen
It's round ligament pain most likely...its from the uterus expanding...I am having it at 22 weeks (had it with my first two pregnancies and its a very familiar pain). Its so normal but is weird to experience!! HTH!

Re: cramps in lower abdomen
I have been having braxton hicks since about week 18-19. Doc said its normal and to make sure I stay hydrated. I know thats what it is because at the high risk they had me on a monitor after I fell and she saw one on there. Make sure you drink water. Could be round ligament pain too but I thought that was a little earlier.
