Diaper Help!
I hope someone can enlighten me. My son is about 4 months old, 12.5lbs & wearing a size 2 diaper. For some reason many of his diapers leak. I would love to blame it on the diaper, but unfortunately I’ve tried Huggies, Pampers, Luvs & Target brand and have had some leaking issues with all of them. The problem is that the elastic around the leg breaks and that’s where I’m getting my leaks (poops and pees!). What am I doing wrong? Is it too tight? Is it too loose??? I’m using Pampers Swaddlers right now and it’s happening much more frequently.
Help please. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I would try a size 3 to see if that helps. DD always leaked out of the legs when she pooped. I switched her to size 3 at about 14 pounds and she did much better despite being well under the weight range.

Would a diaper doubler help? I buy them at BRU and use them on my DS at night. We only use the Target diapers and I have no problems with them. The problem is at night when he wakes up his clothes are soaked. Not sure if this will help but maybe trying them will help.

Is your DS long and skinny?
Maybe you need to do the velcro tighter - like almost overlapping if his little belly is skinny.
Also, make sure the inner part of the diaper is situated correctly. I noticed some of the brands have a little piece of fabric that if I wasn't paying attention would lay flat or not correctly and then it wouldn't offer enough protection around the legs.

once the diaper is on, just run your finger around the edges to make sure there are no gaps or fold around the elastic where it meets the skin
I always sized up, and when we ran out of sizes, we switched to overnight diapers all day.

I agree. I dont remember how much DS weghed when we went up to size 3 but he was always well under the weight recommendations on the box.

Diaper Help!
DS went through this when he was in size 2 diapers and smaller. Nothing worked, not even Huggies Overnights. Eventually it just stopped being as frequent.
I agree with the others about giving size 3's a try.
