Burning Leg Pain and Sudden Veins
Hi all! Third timer here.... I am almost 17 weeks. I am having a burning, tight sensation from my butt down my leg. I have been attributing it to sciatica which I had periodically during my last pregnancy. I now noticed dark purple veins on my calf. It feels really tight behind my knee. Have to call my OB tomorrow but kinda freaking out that it could be something serious. Opinions?

Re: Burning Leg Pain and Sudden Veins
Please get this checked out ASAP. I would be extra cautious and take this very seriously. Hopefully it's just your sciatica or a muscle spasm but I had the same exact symptoms with my DVT.

Re: Burning Leg Pain and Sudden Veins
I have been noticing lots of spider veins but no pain associated with them. I would def give a call if it is localized in one area with pain! Please update!

Burning Leg Pain and Sudden Veins
Is your leg red and or hot? I had 3 DVTs in my leg during pregnancy. It started as a pain that I thought was siactica. I ended up in the hospital for 4 days and on Lovenox for the balance of my pregnancy.
Please go get it checked. It could be nothing but better to be safe on this one.

Re: Burning Leg Pain and Sudden Veins
Left a message for my OB and my internist. The pain varies from a burning in the whole back of my leg to tungling to tightness behind my knee. I am nervous.
