Is this normal...Embryo related
ER was on Monday. They retrieved 29 eggs.
I got a call on Tuesday saying of the 29, 20 fertilized with ICSI. Great right.
My clinic (RMA) only does 5dt. I called today to see how they embies are doing and the nurse told me they don't check them again until transfer? She said they don't want to mess with them too much. Is this normal? Shouldn't they check to see how they are growing?

I had a similar instance with my embies. My clinic does 3dt and 5dt. I had ET on a Monday - 32 retrieved, 25 fertilized - was told I'd most likely be a 5dt but to call back Wednesday to check in. I called Wednesday and was told I was a tentative 3dt and to call in the morning. I asked if all the eggs had survived but the nurse didn't know.
When I called Thursday morning (day 3) I was told that I would be a day 5 transfer. I asked how many embryos I was working with and she said that there was no update but the doctor would discuss with me on transfer day - which she did. I thought it was odd too but I guess each facility has there own protocol.
