Help Me Choose Between Two RE's
My perinatologist referred me to either Dr. Saketos (RSI of NY) or Dr. B.
How do I choose? I am so overwhelmed, and daunted by the thought of yet ANOTHER new doctor, more tests, more drugs, etc.
It has been over two years of trying, two losses, and I am shot.

Help Me Choose Between Two RE's
I personally never used Dr Saketos but have used RS of NY and I am currently 12 weeks pregnant. I heard great things also about Dr B and the only reason I did not use him is because procedures(retrievals and transfers) are done in NYC and I didn't want to commute.

I didn't know that re NYC; interesting. That would only be if I do IVf though, right? I am hoping not to.

Help Me Choose Between Two RE's
I HIGHLY recommend Dr. B!!! He's the best! And you only have to go into the city for retrieval/transfer IF you're doing IVF, otherwise you can see him in Woodbury.

Another Dr.B fan. He was my 4th specialist that I saw and it took him less then a year to finally assist in me getting pregnant. I had been trying to almost 5yrs.

Re: Help Me Choose Between Two RE's
Dr Braverman has gotten so many people pregnant that were told they needed to use donor eggs. I have never heard of the other Dr. I left Dr B because I hated his nurse at the time, but I ended up seeing an immune doc in Chicago who worked with my Dr at a traditional IVf clinic an dit all worked out for me.

ITA with this. Dr B was my 3rd dr and the first to figure out I had a clotting disorder among other things. I live out on the north fork and as much of a trip as the city is, his embryologist is awesome and definitely worth the trip IMO. Good luck!

Re: Help Me Choose Between Two RE's
I use Dr. Saketos and I like her so far. She's my first RE though and I'm at the very beginning stages (well hopefully the end stage too) but she seems very nice and I like that she listens to me and what I want to do versus just telling me what she wants to happen.

Help Me Choose Between Two RE's
I was a patient at RS of NY. Dr. Stelling was my main doctor. He did my retrieval and Dr. Saketos did my transfer. Her bedside manner was pretty matter of fact but I have a healthy DD because of that transfer so I can't complain!
From what I hear Dr. B is more hands on. You see him everytime you go in. RS of NY works differently. You have a main doctor but for each of your appointments you see the doctor that's covering that day. Some people don't mind it and some hate it.

Re: Help Me Choose Between Two RE's
Kind of crashing but Dr. B does not accept ins right? How did you all afford him?? Does he work out payment plans while ins reimburses?
