Cost of utilites
I'm close o making an offer on my first home. I'm completely overwhelmed. I rented a small house for the last 4 yrs and utilities were included in the rent. I'm trying to gage how much utilities typically are...
The property I'm considering is in Oceanside. Its a 2 story townhouse w a finished basement. It's only me and my 1 yo old. It's gas heat/ cac. Any rough estimates? I know there's a lot of variables.

Re: Cost of utilites
the best thing to do is ask the owner for copies of the current bills
is anything included with the maintence?
you can get balanced billing from LIPA so you pay the same amount every month

Re: Cost of utilites
I always had to pay utilities when I rented. If I was you I would budget 200 a month for gas electric and cable.
My gas bill some months were under a 100 other months over a 100
Electric some months under 200 others months over
Cable would stay basically the same
You could do balance billing on gas and electric but I never like too I rafter just pay what I owe
