Has anyone done or looked into a farm vacation?
Both my sons love animals. 2yo DS especially loves everything about farms but has never been to one. Thought it might be fun to do a farm B&B type getaway.
has anyone done a farm vacation?
Can you recommend working farms that take visitors?

You can look into Rocking Horse Ranch. But that's the only thing I can think of right now.

There are some working farm vacations in Lancaster, I don't know the names though.

Not sure how far you'd be willing to travel, but my family has been going to this place in NH since I was a kid.
The Inn at East Hill Farms
We had done huge family reunions there from the time I was maybe 7 until I was around 20. Stopped for a while but recently started again about 3 years ago.
It's kind of a hike - about 5 hours. But it's a really nice family place - run by the same people since forver. They have all sorts of animals and the kids can collect eggs in the morning and bring them to the kitchen for thier breakfast.
They have pony rides, and cow milking and pet the baby animals. Lots of fun activities. There is a mountian nearby that they sometimes have hikes up and in the summer they have a lake nearby where they have water activities.
Meals are served family style and there is plenty of good food. It's not fancy and some of the rooms could use some updating, but there are newer areas as well.
It's just a nice family place - DS loves it! in fact, we're heading up there in a couple of months for this years reunion.
