IUI tomorrow
Had ultrasound this morning and I have 2 nice size follicles on my left side. Tomorrow will be my first iui.
Will I have another ultrasound before they start? Is the iui painful?

i do not have any side effects
its all of 5 minutes, not even and then you rest up

Good Luck!!! Easy peasy, less than 5 mins!! Speculum is the worst part, the rest I hardly feel, and hardly any cramping. A couple times I had bad cramping afterwards, the rest I was fine.

So its better to abstain from Bd tonight ? That way DH has the best specimen for tomorrow?

They should have told you not to have sex at least 24 hours before IUI. At least, that is what they told me.

I would definitely abstain tonight so they get a good sample int he morning. My RE says 48 hrs, but I've done 24hr and dh had a good #.

No and IUI does not hurt at all. It's a little discomfort. Feels like a routine pap test.

IUI tomorrow
I had my first IUI on Tuesday. I did have another ultrasound to measure the follicles before hand. It wasn't that bad. If you had an HSG or Saline Sono this is a piece of cake. I did have some cramping and like a stabbing pain later on that night. The next day it was gone. We abstained 3 days before the IUI. Good luck.
