Ghi coverage..
Hi. I have GHI and am pretty new to this as well. Started testing in January and did my first IUI last week. GHI covers IUIs. You have to do 6 IUIs before they will partially cover IVF. As for meds Clomid was like $5. I got the HCG- trigger and it was like $100 bc they said I had to reach a $100 deductible amount in order for injectibles to be covered. The Endometrin was $15. I have heard from other ladies on here that 3 rounds of the same injectibles are covered lifetime and to order the max allowed during one time. Basically for everything so far I have only paid copays and I have had an HSG, Saline Sono, MRI, and an IUI. My RE office gave me sheet of whats covered when I started there. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Re: Ghi coverage..
I have GHI but my meds fall under another rx plan - which covered barely anything. Coverage is different depending on your particular plan. I called directly to see what was covered under my particular plan.. GL!

Ghi coverage..
Glad I was helpful...I'm learning this all too. I have heard that your RE can ask your insurance for IVF after a certain amount of IUIs if both your DH and yourself have issues. We are Unexplained so if need be (fingers crossed this works this month) then we will have to do the 6 IUIs before considering IVF. I know this sucks, hang in there. At least we have some coverage. I am very thankful for that. You said after 4 IUIs you were hoping for IVF. Have you had any yet?

Re: Ghi coverage..
No iui's yet.. My first one will b soon. I should b getting af towards the end of the week. Im not even sure of the process. The nurse will b calling me soon to go over the plan. I kno im taking clomid cd 5-9 n then i guess monitoring after that and then the insemination. dh's count is low.. 13 million n his morphology is only 1 percent. Im just not getting a good feeling about iui working. Im readin the internet too much! This whole process is so hard to handle. I have a dd who qas conceived naturally.. It's just mind boggling n somewhat depressing

Re: Ghi coverage..
when i was trying to get pregnant it ws 12 iui needed before they would pay for ivf,i believe it is 6 now
and they do not count b2b as 2,we did 8 so tech 16 iui before we did ivf bc our doc wrote a letter
they will pay for 75 percent of ivf
meds r through ex[press scripts,is that what u have?

Good luck! Your plan sounds right. I went in CD 10 and 12 for monitoring and had my IUI on CD 13. I took Clomid days 3-7. I started Endometrin 2 days after the IUI. I'm on day 5 of it and not a fan. Its very messy but no other side effects so far. That is great that you have a DD that was conceived naturally. I understand about it being depressing...I have been trying for a year and a half. Now that I did an IUI at least I feel like I'm trying to solve the problem even though we are Unexplained. Good luck and hang in there.

thank you so much!
the trick with express scrips is when u order ur injectables make sure they give u the max on the order
so say u need gonal..u get three refills a lifetime but u can order the max at each order
am i making sense lol,i think i am saying it funny
basically so u do not use it up in 3 months like i did and have to pay thousands in meds bc i am a moron

This. I have ghi with caremark rx and they would not cover clomid, I think I paid $25 for it... meanwhile my sister who has medco paid $5
ETA this was for generic clomid
also had a $15 copay I believe for generic HCG through freedom fertility pharmacy but they went through GHI for that
