Is anyone using a regular bumper that came with their bedding set? I love the one I got, and I'd hate to not use it, but not sure it's safe.

What are you doing?

Re: Crib Bumper Q

I am having them made by a friend so they won't be as full as the ones form a store, but I plan to use them once the baby starts moving around in his sleep. Everyone I talk to says they don't need them for a couple months because they don't move....

Re: Crib Bumper Q

We did not use them, not safe IMO.

I took them apart and had my MIL sew them to make runners for DS's furniture.

I love the look but likely won't use them (maybe just a breathable one) since they're pretty much known to be unsafe.

We picked a set that didn't come with a bumper. Not safe. If anything we will get the breathable ones

At first I didn't use any, but DD starting getting her leg through the slats of the crib. I then started using the breathable ones from BRU and she has been fine.

We picked a bedding set that didn't come with bumpers. We registered for the breathable ones. Thank goodness they come in more colors now.

We did the breathable ones. Then when my daughter turned 2, we put them in because she never sleeps near the edges. It also acts as a guard when we lowered the crib and made it into a ?bed."

I am going to use ours in the future once it's a toddler bed... if this kid sleeps anything like me he's going to need the padding once he's mobile. Chat Icon
