Re-shingle roof?
Does anyone know about how much this costs? I don't know our square footage but we have a standard cape. I couldn't even guess the ballpark range. Any reccs on who you used?
TIA

Re-shingle roof?
Just had my roof done $400 a square for rip off and replace shingles $600 a square for rip off and replace shingles and plywood. This included 30 yr shingles and clean up and all other roof related materials. I needed 3000 square total. UGH.

Re: Re-shingle roof?
You can have two layers of shingles on your roof, so if you currently only have one layer, you can put a new layer over the old, saving a lot of money. If you already have at least two layers, you've got to take all the old shingles off.

Re: Re-shingle roof?
After Hurricane Sandy we needed to redo our roof. We live in a cape also, and did the entire front (not the back) anyways it was $4000.
That included stripping the two layers that were on it, adding some new sheathing, and re-shingling.
