Italian Sausage? Cornbeef?
I'm kind of confused about the whole nitrate thing.. I know I can't eat hotdogs..but what about Italian sausage, Cornbeef? Bacon?

I have had all three 1x since getting pregnant and no adverse affects. My philosophy is all things in moderation, my OB said not to make certain things a daily habit, but having those things once or twice is fine.

I eat hot dogs but like people say in moderation.. :) Its totally fine ..
you can eat sausage, cornbeef and bacon.. just don't eat it everyday!

Honestly, I didn't sweat nitrates.......in moderation. I ate bacon throughout both of my pregnancies as well as the occasional hot dog, cold cut sandwich, and sausage.

I didn't have corned beef but would have if I was prego around St. Patrick's Day... I did eat Italian sausage and bacon.

My doc said no to hotdogs, sausage and bacon. Corned beef is a once a year meal and I don't plan on passing that one up!
