Water parks and water shoes

We are going to FL soon and will be visiting the LegoLand water park as DS LOVES water.

Do they typically allow water shoes in water parks when kids are in the pool and on the rides?

I realize I'm going crazy looking for water shoes/water sandals and don't even know if he can wear them there. Do they usually just go barefoot?

I always buy DS Stride Rite water sandals but they are not out yet. Too early in the season. If I need them I guess I'll buy them down there.

I was just at Stride Rite over the weekend and they said that what they have now is it. I ended up getting Kean's for my son. I think you can wear water shoes - we have worn them in the past in other water parks. If he is still little, Old Navy and the Gap makes water shoes. My son needs a size 1 so he has aged out of their shoes. I was really disappointed in the water shoe selection this year. eta: some slides may make you take them off, but they usually have a place to put them. I get mabel's labels to id the shoes.

We wear water shoes to waterparks without issue. If you go on body slides (unlikely with kids), then they make you take them off.

We just bought DD's at Target for our Great Wolf trip. She's 2 and I think it's important to protect her feet in water parks. Have fun!

The water parks allow water shoes. The only times they don't are on certain more adult rides where they can become a hazard. But for a kid, it shouldn't be a problem.
