My cousin said where she went they had beds to take naps in. But she brought her ipad, phone, and headphones and just played on that stuff and listened to music for the 3 hours.

Wait, so soon????
I'm insulin resistant. I have to take them early. I took the 1 hour last week and failed I'm likely going to fail this one too. And then retake later on, too.

I'd save yourself the trouble and just go on the diet, lol. Bring books, phone charger just incase, baby bargains, a kindle, anything. For me, I was so nauseous from the drink that I could only focus on not vomiting. Not everyone reacts that way though. Good luck!

Re: 3 hour glucose test tomorrow...any tips?
I just took my third 3-hour glucose test about two weeks ago. My doc has me take the GTT in the first tri bc of family history of diabetes. So I took it twice in my first pregnancy (failed the 1 -hour both times) and once this pregnancy (I asked to go straight for the 3-hour bc I don't have time to waste failing the 1-hour again).
Anyway....Tips: 1. Ask the phlebotomist if they have a reclining chair for you to use. The first time I ever had to do the 3-hour (1st tri, 1st pregnancy), the Quest (Merrick) I went to allowed me to lay down on an exam table that wasn't being used. It was very uncomfortable bc they had no pillows but it was better than sitting straight up in the waiting room.
The 2nd time I went (Quest Bethpage) I was in my 3rd tri and wasn't as uncomfortable so sitting in the waiting room wasn't a problem.
The most recent time I went (Quest Bethpage) the phlebotomist let me know that they had a reclining chair that I could use. It made waiting the 3 hours so much easier.
2. Do it as early in the morning as you can. All three times I didn't eat after 8:30pm the night before.
3. Drink a tall glass of water when you wake up so that they can find your veins.
4. And last, make sure you bring something to eat as soon as you're done. My mom & DD met me there during the last 15 min of my test and we walked next door to a diner for lunch. As soon as I sat at the table I felt like I was going to faint. I was sweating and felt so dizzy and out of it. I felt better as soon as I ate.
Good luck!!

Thank you so much for the tips! I am going to the Quest in East Setauket, and I don't think they had a reclining chair, but I'll call and ask.
