Baby with motor delay
My 7 month old has a motor delay. Not grabbing toys, not rolling over, not pushing up on belly. We are starting early intervention soon and have been to a neurogist. Just wondering if any one is or has gone through this. I'm very worried about my baby.

Baby with motor delay
My DD receives OT through EI for a fine motor delay. She only rolled over twice as a baby. She's 20 months now and we started the process at 12 months. Don't worry about your DC. EI is wonderful and SO many children receive services for various things. FM me if you have any specific questions.

Dont worry. EI is awesome!!!!! My twins have been getting PT since they were 6 months old.

Baby with motor delay
My Twins are also getting EI since 5 months. It started because they both had torticollis & as they grew, we learned they had delays. My one son has more then they other. My Twin B has what is called tight heel cords.
This is causing his delay. He sat up for the first time (pulling himself up) at 12 months.; Was doing army crawling after that for a bit & just learned to hands & knees crawl at 14 months. It's hard to see...but EI will surely help DC. Let me know if you have questions.

This is a concern of ours also. My DS is just 6 months old and doesn't roll back to front or sit up yet. My pediatrician does not think he'd qualify for EI. I'm nervous too.

For sitting up he may not qualify because I think it's starts at 7-8 months but may qualify for not rolling over.

As I said I have twins & didn't call until 5 months because dr didnt think we would qualify &they both did. Don't waste time....

I agree 100%. My twins ped didnt tell us to call, but the neonatologists at their high risk clinic had us call. Turns out they would have qualified months earlier. Call!!!1 It is free and the evaluation is fun.

Ei is great. DS started at 17 months b/c he was not walking.. Looking back, i should have started sooneras he was late with all gross Motor skills. He is making a lot of progress. Try not too worry...
