Sleeping and Feeding Question for Newborn
DS will be 6 weeks on Thursday - still very young, I know. Last week he was sleeping anywhere from 3 to 6 hour stretches overnight so I had confidence things were improving. This week he's been back to 2 hour stretches. He eats, I get him back down, and he's ready to eat 3 hours after his last feeding.
What happened between this week and last? I'm wondering if I'm not feeding him enough during the day? Or does he need bigger feeds at night? Or is there really nothing I can do? I'm frustrated and beyond exhausted and really would give anything just to get a 4-hour stretch of sleep at night!
Help a tired new mommy out!

Sleeping and Feeding Question for Newborn
It could definitely be a growth spurt. Hopefully he'll go back to longer stretches soon but other than keeping things quiet and dark while feeding to get him back down quickly there's not much else you can do. I never expected anything DD did to last (and still don't 10 months later!)

He could be going through a growth spurt...but I remember dd up every 3 hours to eat until 8-9 weeks

it will change 1000 times before they get on a schedule! It is probably a growth spurt! I am sure your LO is getting enough! No worries! As long as you see peepee diapers regularly - you are both fine!

It prob is growth spurt, during day during that time DS started to want to eat every 2 hours. I read that it was likely a growth spurt.
