Maternity Swimwear?

Two questions:

1) Where can I get affordable but cute maternity beachwear?

2) Is it ok to tan my belly? A friend of mine says that tanning can cause stretch marks - have you heard this?

I plan on wearing my bikini at 25 weeks in PR. And no, tanning does not cause stretch marks, genetics do, tan away! Just stay hydrated and use SPF Chat Icon

tanning doesn't cause stretchmarks... it can just make them more visible if you have them.

Maternity Swimwear?

I got one at Destination Maternity on sale and with a coupon and it is really nice and comfortable.

I am way too big to tan my stomach, so I got a tankini, so no clue on the stretch marks!

I also got mine at Destination Maternity and got tankinis. They are SUPER cute.

If you are wearing a bikini, can't you just buy a regular one? If it doesn't cover your belly then I would imagine that it's all the same (just a little larger if your boobies grew).

And as for the stretch marks, not true! You will see them more when tan but like Becki said, it's all genetics. My doctor did tell me that your skin is more sensitive to the sun and to up your SPF that you usually wear. We went to Costa Rica and I wore 30SPF and burned. Usually if I wear anything above 15 I get no color so I would just say that make sure to wear a higher SPF then usual.
