Ideas for book-themed room?
We will be giving the new baby the old nursery, which was an "under the sea" theme.
We're going to move our 3.5 year old into a new room. I was thinking of doing a book and possibly owl theme for her "big girl room." She's very into the Ramona and Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle books, and we will be reading The Phantom Tollbooth next.
So far I've come up with framing book covers and/or prints. I don't need to go overboard with the theme, but I would like a few more ideas. Any suggestions? I'm not super creative, but I have access to those who are!
TIA!

Did you try Pinterest? If you wanted to paint something on the wall what about incorporating a corner bookcase in front of (as part of) a tree trunk that had an owl/s in it?

Re: Ideas for book-themed room?
I love this idea -- I hope my kids love to read like DH and I both do.
For me -- less would be more.
I think the most important thing here is making a super comfy place for her to do the actual reading. Like an awesome chair or reading nook. And then of course a way to neatly store and display all the books.
I'd want some cool posters that remind me of stuff they have hanging in the kids section the library...
like this
or frame prints of pages of kids books with great illustrations.
like curious george
or Wizard of Oz, Where the Wild Things Are, Giving Tree, Amelia Bedelia ... Charlotte's Web has some of my favorite simple but really beautiful illustrations -- I think if it was me I'd probably do a series of these.
If you have the space -- something like this is cool.
I wouldn't worry about going nuts with the decor. Give her a great space with good light and lots of wonderful books and READ WITH HER

We don't have a theme but we decided we wanted to use some of our fav children's book covers as wall art. We had these canvases made:
